our financial accountability

YAS' financial accountability and viability are achieved through the application of sound financial management practices that accord with legal and regulatory requirements.

Sound financial management begins with our commitment to providing high quality services relative to our mission. The leadership team creates a culture of honesty and ethics in all areas of organizational practice, including the management of our agency’s finances and the manner in which we conduct financial affairs.

SUPPORT COMMUNITIES CAN COUNT ON

The Better Business Bureau’s standards recommend that at least 65 percent of a nonprofit’s total expenses should be for program expenses. In 2021, 83 percent of YAS expenses were attributed to our direct service programs.
