Under the direction of the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities, Early Intervention is a statewide system that provides coordinated services to parents of infants and toddlers with disabilities or developmental delays in Ohio. YAS' Early Childhood program is a contracted provider for Early Intervention services in Franklin County.
The Early Intervention Service Coordinator provides support and consultation to referred families in a home based setting. They take primary responsibility for the development and implementation of the Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP), which is developed with the family. They also coordinate all necessary services/treatment, referrals, assessments, and timelines. Service Coordinators work in collaboration with other community providers and provide referrals for other services the family may need. The Early Intervention Service Coordinator provides services at times and locations when they are most needed, allowing for highly individualized and effective intervention. Thus, it is expected that the ideal candidate maintain a flexible schedule which may include some evening availability.
Bachelor’s degree required, preferred in social work or child development/families studies. Minimally must have coursework and/or work experience related to child development. Successful Service Coordinators are organized, self-motivated, and committed to providing high quality service to families. Valid driver’s license required.
