Under the direction of the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities, Early Intervention is a statewide system that provides coordinated services to parents of infants and toddlers with disabilities or developmental delays in Ohio. YAS' Early Childhood program is a contracted provider for Early Intervention services in Franklin County.
The Early Intervention Service Coordinator (EISC) provides support and consultation to referred families in a home based setting. They take primary responsibility for the development and implementation of the Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP), which is developed with the family. They also coordinate all necessary services/treatment, referrals, assessments, and timelines. EISC’s work in collaboration with other community providers and provide referrals for other services the family may need.
This part-time position will have a varied schedule, Monday – Friday, totaling 20-24 hours/week. Responsibilities and specific days/times to be worked will determined by the needs of families served and the needs of the agency. The schedule for this position will be developed collaboratively on a monthly basis to ensure both the EISC and the agency can plan accordingly.
Bachelor’s degree required, preferred in social work or child development/families studies. Minimally must have coursework and/or work experience related to child development. Successful Service Coordinators are organized, self-motivated, and committed to providing high quality service to families. This position also requires strong documentation skills and the ability to quickly process verbal information into a written document. Valid driver's license required.
To be considered for this position, availability during normal business hours at least three days/week is required. The ideal candidate will be flexibly available Monday – Friday.
