The Director of Early Intervention is responsible for the day-to-day management and supervision of the Early Intervention Program at Youth Advocate Services.  The Director of Early Intervention will supervise and assist program staff (EI Service Coordinators) as they fulfill all of their federal and state mandated responsibilities. These include, but are not limited to: providing children aged 0-3 and their families access to developmental screening and evaluations, the development and implementation of the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP), providing referrals to appropriate service providers, and connection to community-based services that will support and promote the well-being of the child(ren) and the family.  The Director of Early Intervention will provide supervision, support and consultation to the Early Intervention Service Coordinators. This position is responsible for the hiring and training of EI Service Coordinators. Additionally, the position works in collaboration with the county Family and Children First Council to ensure strong program oversight and compliance with all state mandated rules and policies. 


Bachelor’s degree in social work, child development/family studies, or related field and 4 years related experience, preferably in family service systems, infant and early childhood development, and community resource linkages. Interpersonal skills, judgement, flexibility and commitment are essential to the position as well as the ability to work a flexible schedule. Valid driver's license required.
