UTILIZATION & QUALITY
We work very hard to take care of our staff - after all, they take care of our clients! See what staff members have to say about their experience at YAS:
We've been privileged to play a role in helping thousands of children and families in central Ohio. As our community's needs have grown, we've been able to grow along with it. Our services now touch the lives of people in more than 14 counties every day. We credit our strength and endurance to a consistent approach to managing our business, and to the character of our people.
Led by YAS' CEO, the Executive Team is a group of experienced agency leaders who have key executive roles in various areas of the agency. The Executive Team’s responsibilities include long-term strategic planning (programmatic and overall agency), preservation of YAS' financial stability, and quality improvement.

"Youth Advocate Services has been a wonderful place to start my next steps in my career!
My observations include that YAS is a place where many therapist/ clinicians/ counselors start their careers in the social work field. While YAS is a fast paced environment, it certainly keeps with the standards of the industry here in Columbus, Ohio. YAS is a small non-profit agency, so while pay may not be as high as some other companies in Columbus, they are able to offer a great benefit package, including paid time off that you start earning immediately.
YAS also wants staff to have a healthy work-life balance, and encourage and expect staff to work a 40 hour work week, which allows for staff to have a life outside of work! I came from an employer where productivity standards were double that of YAS, and caseloads were much higher. I felt stress every day, and now at YAS that has decreased significantly!"
Previously YAS' Licensing Coordinator, Lydia leads the Ohio Early Intervention and Help Me Grow Home Visiting programs.
